A Dyeing Art

The Canting Tool

Drawing with molten wax

Our artisans apply liquid wax at exactly ninety degrees Celsius. The copper reservoir maintains the temperature, letting the wax bite deep into the silk fibers without bleeding, establishing the geometric boundaries of the design.

Once cooled, this wax barrier resists successive dye baths. It creates the iconic fine crackle lines where the dye gently fractures the wax under tension.

Fiber-Deep Alchemy

Six indigo baths build midnight depth.

We do not print. We submerge the silk into natural fermentation vats, oxidising the fabric between dips to lock the pigment deep within the molecular structure of the silk.

Design Philosophy

Art Nouveau meets Deco

Our designs marry the organic, whip-lash curves of Art Nouveau with the rigid, mathematical symmetry of Art Deco. These historical movements find a natural canvas in the fluid drape of silk.

We translate architectural ironwork and botanical sweeps into wearable panels. The tension between the fluid medium and the geometric lines defines our signature aesthetic.
